Shear Extacy Salon is a full service salon and spa in Miller Place, NY. We have been open for over 25 years. We strive to achieve one simple goal: to make sure every guest at our salon looks and feels their best, from their first appointment to their next.We pride ourselves on being one of the top salons in the Miller Place area. Our artistic team can achieve the look you want - if you can dream it, we will help you obtain it! Our expertise includes: Advanced Color, Balayage, Hair Painting and Foiling, Corrective Color, Extensions of all kinds including Hand Ties, Weddings, Formal Events, Makeup, Waxing, Eyelash Extensions, Botox, Filler, Spa Treatments and Medical Spa Procedures.
Salon Policies
Valid credit card information is required to schedule all large appointments, new client, extensions, or corrective color appointments. The credit card information is to hold your scheduled time and service reserved. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call at least 48 hours ahead of time. This provides our wait-list clients an opportunity to take your missed appointment. If that appointment is missed without cancellation, you may be charged up to the full cost of the reserved appointment. Kindly arrive on time for your appointment to ensure full service. If you arrive 15 minutes after your scheduled time, we will do everything we can to accommodate, but please keep in mind you may have to wait and/or will be rescheduled with a different service provider.
If you require any type of correction, please notify us within 72 hours of your service. Any corrections must be done within 7 days of initial service and with the original stylist. Due to the nature of our services, no refunds will be granted.
Payments & Gratuities
We accept cash as well as all major credit cards.

All prices listed, advertised and quoted have a 3.99% cash discount incentive built into the pricing for cash and gift cards. Any purchases made with a credit card or debit card will not receive the cash discount and a non-cash discount adjustment will be displayed on your credit/debit card receipt.

Gratuities are not included in our menu prices.
15% - 20% gratuity is customary.
I have been coming here for 5 years and have been devoted to the creative style of the owner, Tracy. She knows that I'm a professional woman and occasionally I hit a conservative streak and she takes my lead. The salon is exceptionally clean and ALL the other hairdressers are respectful. They do their best to accommodate me for a last minute wash & blow out. Can't say enough about Shear Extacy except that you don't have to go to NYC for a NYC color & cut!

This salon is amazing. Everyone here is so nice and professional. From the moment I walked in the salon the girls at the front desk greeted me and sweetly asked me if I wanted a drink. My stylist was amazing and understanding. I've always been scared to cut my hair and my stylist talked to me calmly about how much needed to be taken off. I won't be going anywhere else. Nothing but superb experience every time I come in. From the moment I walk through the door I am greeted by the lovely ladies at the front desk taking my coat, bag and offering me drinks. All the stylists are professional and talented! I came in with a multi colored mess of a hair and Tracy exceeded my expectations. She took her time and perfected every strand! Who would have thought that dying my whole head pink and my hair is healthier now than it was before!! Also I took my mother in law whom lives in Florida when she came to NY after a horror scene! Needless to say she travels from Florida to get her hair done by the girls at Shear Extacy!! 5 Stars!!
